Rejection can have the same affect on our souls. As I began to look deeper into the issue God had pointed me to, I realized how much my situation was similar to my husbands. God has rejected me! There is hardly a Christian on the planet who has not at some time been haunted by that fear. Feeling rejected by anyone is painful, but for a devout Christian to feel rejected by God can be devastating, even terrifying.
In this webpage we will discover that not only did people in the Bible suffer such feelings, it is actually a manifestation of God’s loving goodness. As astounding as it seems, it was feeling that God had rejected them that catapulted various Bible heroes to spiritual greatness. They became heaven’s superstars precisely because God made everything seem hopeless for them. You will even discover that the Bible teaches that even if you were to receive an authentic – that’s right, authentic – personal word from God proclaiming that you are doomed, you still have oceans of hope.
Through reading this webpage most of us will see God in a way we have never before seen him and the result will be both thrilling and life-changing.
God is terrifyingly holy and yet more loving than we could imagine. The Almighty’s fearsome holiness can force him to reluctantly reject people, but a person’s sin is the sole reason for any divine rejection. So if you or I could truly be made as if we had never messed up, any reason for the Holy Lord rejecting us would vanish. All that would be left is God’s incomprehensible love for you.
You might be familiar with some of the words in the next few sentences, but bear with me. It will lead to the unfamiliar. It has rightly been said that the biblical term justified means to be made just as if I’d never sinned. If this were really to happen to you this instant, it would be impossible for you to be rejected by the God of the Bible, since it would remove the only reason for divine rejection.
The exciting thing is that Scripture promises that this total removal of sin is possible – not just some time in the past when your sins were less blatant, but right now, when you have abused the grace of God more than ever before. Moreover, the Bible not only says that anyone can be justified, it stresses that this divine miracle becomes ours not by works – not influenced by our achievements or shameful repeated failures or depravity – but solely by faith. This being so, we need a new understanding of the biblical conception of faith. So let’s examine what Jesus exalted as a prime example of faith. It reveals some startling things.
Matthew 15:22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession.” (23) Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” (24) He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” (25) The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. (26) He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” (27) “Yes, Lord,” she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” (28) Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
We find the woman pleading with Jesus, detailing her desperate plight to him. Without so much as uttering a word, he turns his back on her and walks away.
Despite reeling in the pain of rejection and being emotionally flattened by the hopelessness of it all, she still follows Jesus, crying out to him.
As if Jesus’ reaction were not enough, his chosen followers soon pile on their own rejection. Her persistence so annoys them that Jesus’ disciples plead with him to tell her to get lost. So Jesus tells her that his divine mission – the command of God on his life – is to minister exclusively to Jews, not Gentiles like her. Instead of resigning herself to the sovereign will of God, she begs even harder. Jesus is unyielding. He states even more emphatically that it was not right for him to do what she is asking.
This woman was a Gentile before Jesus’ sacrifice opened the way for Gentiles to be included in God’s Covenant. But not only was she a Gentile, she was a Canaanite – the worst of the Gentiles. She should not even have been born. Had God’s people been obedient to God’s command, her family line would have been wiped out generations ago.
Then, as astounding as it is to imagine our loving Savior doing this, he seals his rejection by calling her a dog – a bitch, if you like. This was the grossest possible insult. Jews despised dogs as unclean. Jesus refers to the people he is called to minister to as “children.” She, however, he labels as not even human but an animal – and an unclean one at that. On another occasion Jesus said it is not right to give what is holy to dogs, nor to cast one’s pearls to swine. Not only did Jesus say it should not be done, in the same breath he linked dogs with pigs, as does Scripture elsewhere. So, in biblical thought, dogs are the most repulsive of creatures, totally unacceptable to God, and yet this is the label Jesus slaps on this woman.
By now her devastating feelings of rejection could have turned to anger and a determination to reject Jesus like he has rejected her. Yet despite all the pressure to give in to feelings of hopelessness and bitterness, she still refuses to take ‘No’ for an answer.
Why was Jesus so hard on her? Because he knew she had what it takes to rise to the challenge and that her doing so would bring her rich reward. Jesus’ seeming rejection brought out the best in her. Yes, she got her miracle like so many other people, but because Jesus let her seemingly suffer rejection, she soared far beyond getting her miracle to gaining Jesus’ high praise resounding through the tunnels of time for two thousand years around the world and continuing for all eternity. Her refusal to accept Jesus’ apparent rejection not only thrilled the heart of God, it has inspired countless multitudes of Christians throughout every successive generation.
And the same is true for you. God has faith in you. You can rise to the challenge and refuse to be defeated by all the surface indications of rejection. You can ignore all the worrying superficialities and by faith see past them to the loving heart of Jesus. You can keep following Jesus even when he seems to have turned his back on you and walked away. And as you persist, you will thrill the heart of God, gain for yourself eternal glory, and inspire other Christians.
Singled Out for Special Rejection
The Canaanite woman’s experience was not an isolated case. For assurance, let’s consider another woman. Ruth was not just a Gentile; she was a Moabite, and as such she was singled out for special rejection from God.
Deuteronomy 23:3 No Ammonite or Moabite or any of his descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD, even down to the tenth generation. . . . (6) Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them as long as you live.
How’s that for rejection! In contrast, this Scripture immediately goes on to mention other Gentiles, saying there was more hope even for them than for anyone with Ruth’s ancestry:
Deuteronomy 23:7 Do not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother. Do not abhor an Egyptian, because you lived as an alien in his country. (8) The third generation of children born to them may enter the assembly of the LORD.
Ruth wanted to join the Israelites, but every indication was that God did not want her. Her only contact with God’s people had been with a family who seemed cursed. They had arrived in her country as economic refugees – hardly a sign of God’s blessing. Moreover, their impoverishment – due to God withholding rain – had forced them out of the land of God’s people. Then, one by one, every male member of the family died, including Ruth’s own husband. Then the surviving family member said:
Ruth 1:11 . . . “Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? . . . (13) . . . the LORD’s hand has gone out against me!”
Over and over, Naomi kept insisting that it was unwise for her daughters-in-law to go with her to the land of God’s people. They would be better off where they were. Eventually, Ruth’s sister-in-law gave in to Naomi’s pleas. Ruth, however, kept pushing through all the objections and rejections. The result? God chose her over all the women in Israel as ancestress of King David and of the Messiah.
It is said if you take pity on a moth struggling to break free from its cocoon and make its passage out easier, the moth will be forever deformed. What seems an act of kindness ends up being cruel. The hard struggle to emerge is essential for the initial pumping of blood into its crumpled wings. I don’t know enough about moths to know if this is an urban myth, but I know my Lord well enough to be certain that if he makes something hard for us, it is for our own good. It is because making it easier would ultimately be less loving and cripple our spiritual development.
Like a good coach giving an athlete tough training sessions, God makes it hard for you because he longs for you to succeed.
I know this because I know God is love. Scour the planet, seeking the purest, selfless compassion. When at last you’ve found this rare and priceless treasure, blend in full-blooded passion. Add empathy – the ability to feel other people’s pain and their every emotion. Stir into the mixture flawless wisdom. Then multiply the result to infinity. What you now have is a shadow of God’s love. God is warm, passionate, highly personal and yet consistent and utterly dependable. His intelligence soars far too high above us for his ways to be predictable by mere humans, but his loving heart never changes. Everything God does – even his anger and judgments – is driven by love. Behind his every action beats a tender heart that longs to forgive and bless.
My certainty that God is like this is not book knowledge – though Bible knowledge was the critical starting point – it is something I know in every cell of my body. This unshakable conviction became mine only by enduring years and years of tough times. I cannot give you your certainty about God’s nature. I could hand you spiritual maturity no more than I could hand you physical maturity. It only comes through prolonged experience with God. It slowly forms after years of feeling you are forever hanging on by your fingernails to what seem almost unbelievable Bible truths. There are no shortcuts. What I can do in this webpage, however, is share some of those Bible truths and urge you to hold on in the exciting, hair-raising, and sometimes lonely, roller coaster ride to joy and fulfillment.
The process whereby hard times slowly transform Bible knowledge into heart knowledge is difficult to explain. For insight into one aspect of the process, we must understand that immature Christians tend to be spiritual honeymooners who think they are in love with God but are actually more in love with his gifts that anything else. The trials I have endured have refined my love for God. I no longer need God to bribe me to keep me loving him. By holding on to God when there seemed no obvious benefits, my love has become genuine. You, too, can reach that point by clinging to God when the illusion is strong that he seems to favor everyone but you.

How To Study The Scriptures
Introduction
The Holy Scriptures, The Word of YAHWEH1, are the most important collection of writings on the face of the planet, and have been for millennia. While the Bible has consistently been a 'best seller' in recent times, it is also the least understood of all time.
If casual reading were all it took to grasp an understanding of YAHWEH's Word, millions would be in The Faith. However, that is not the case. Even those who profess to 'believe' find this wonderful book hidden, dark, mysterious and incomprehensible. Is that the way it should be? Why are the scriptures so difficult to understand? The Apostle Paul gives the answer:
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of Yahweh: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Cor 2:14)
The reason why people cannot understand the scriptures is because they are not converted! They do not possess the Holy Spirit!
Yet those who are truly converted are expected to understand the mysteries!
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of Yahweh; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of Yahweh.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (1 Cor 2:12-13)
Whereby, when ye read, ye may understandmy knowledge in the mystery of Messiah. (Eph 3:4)
The mysteries of salvation are not that difficult for those who are converted. It is the unconverted who cannot understand the scriptures and the mysteries they contain. The question isn’t whether you go to church, or study your bible, or even if you 'believe' in a certain dogma. The question is, if Yahweh expects His people to understand, why don’t you?
Understanding doesn’t come with casual reading, or going to church, or being spoon-fed dogma. Understanding comes from the Holy Spirit which is to lead us into all truth. It becomes necessary, then, to learn how to search the very word of Yahweh for yourself, to delve into the wonderful truths it contains, and to modify your personal beliefs based on the results of what you are discovering. Will these things conflict with what you have been taught? Absolutely! What you desire is the determining factor, whether you want the comfort of your friends, or the truth of Yahweh. It is a process, and you will learn many things over a very long period of time.
Our Sovereign and Savior explained why He spoke in parables, and it wasn’t to make things easily understood!
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: War domain 3.5.
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (Mat 13:13-15)
There is more to do than simply reading words..much more. This is where the weak-willed and disinterested are separated from those who have a love of The Truth. It takes intestinal fortitude to pursue a course that may lead to your own demise, for it is certain that what we are mortal and must perish in order to be recreated in His image. You must set your will like a gyroscope that will not turn or be stopped, but will travel forward to its intended destination. If you truly desire to be among those to whom our Sovereign said, 'But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear,' (Mat 13:16) then you must understand this:
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to Yahweh must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Heb 11:6)

Why?
Your Relationship with your heavenly Father depends on it!
Important things to remember:

Learning is easy, but understanding takes time and experience. Beware of those who insist you believe them or condemn you if you don't.
Those who err usually:
1. Want you to rely on their interpretation
2. Do not want you to think for yourself
3. Have a personal financial gain by keeping you tethered
4. Exploit FEAR to prevent change.
(However, Perfect Love casts out fear)
Before beginning a study we should keep in mind a few guidelines. I would like to share some of the guidelines, which I personally use. You may have similar rules or even better ones. I have found that this process takes quite a bit of time and effort. My average time in coming to an understanding of a particular subject is roughly eleven months! I cast a skeptical eye upon anyone who takes my word for anything or comes to a definite conclusion within a very short time, but rather I admonish you to seek the Father's will, & truth..with this in mind:
Be A Treasure Hunter..
You have a promise of understanding-(the Holy Spirit shall guide you into all things). A person, minister, author, friend, or even myself, for example, may give you words, or point out certain things, but understanding is from above. Therefore be cautious in accepting, and rejecting, anything. Some things you may understand immediately, others you may not.
In waiting for an answer to be revealed:
- make no judgement
- accept no explanation
- keep an open mind
UNTIL:
A. Studied and Re-studied thoroughly
B. Prayed about fervently
C. Understood Clearly
(HOW TO STUDY YAHWEH'S WORD):
1. Pray for Truth, & be willing to change.
2. Set aside all anger and hostility (if possible). Negativity only clouds the mind and prolongs the results.
3. Look up every pertinent Hebrew & Greek word. & meditate
4. Determine whether there is a direct command from Yahweh? & meditate
5. What is the context? & meditate
6. Is there corroborating historical evidence? & meditate
7. What are the side issues? & meditate
8. If there are side issues, in what way do they present a bearing upon the subject? & meditate
9. If there are multiple side issues, how do they present a bearing on each other? & meditate Why two modesvideopsalm.
10. Consider what others say, there may be truth hidden, even if you disagree.
11. Don't be in a rush to come to a conclusion. If you can't understand, make no decision. Place the topic on a back burner & continue on. & meditate
12. Don't jump around from belief to belief simply because it sounds plausible. Prove all things and hold fast to that which is good.
Being a TREASURE HUNTER means..mining for golden nuggets of truth requires going through a lot of mud, taking a lot of prayer, meditation, time and hard work, and sometimes fasting. Remember, We are looking for The Father's Truth, not our own.
Is Truth 'Absolute?' YES! But do we absolutely understand 'Absolute Truth?' NO! We must Grow in Grace & Truth!
The apostle Paul said he saw through a darkened glass. If someone who had the equivalent of a Ph.D and also spent three years being taught directly by our Savior, said he only sees darkly - where does that leave us? We should not presume to know more than Paul, nor limit our understanding to only what Paul understood.
Since doctrine and knowledge were given in stages over a great period of time, we must be reasonable in seeking Truth, understanding that we do not know everything there is to know, therefore, leaving room for even greater knowledge and understanding, and realizing that new truth builds on what has previously been established without contradiction.

Being Aware of the Dangers of Fundamentalism
Yahweh's word is the beginning of wisdom..not the sum total of all that exists. Fundamentalism views varying degrees of outside information as evil, from a very substantial portion, to everything. Simply condemning something because of its source without examining the facts is sheer ignorance.
In areas that Fundamentalism cannot effectively deal with it assumes the premise that all is already known (and understood), therefore it is foolishness to even examine anything outside the scriptures. This effectively closes the door, not only to revelation, but to greater understanding as well, because those who are in control of the flow of knowledge severely restrict an individual's efforts in acquiring more information.
The trademark of such a condemnatory attitude is a vile sarcasm and open contempt for people as well as what they believe, rather than making a difference between the concept and the person. Ridicule, especially public ridicule, has a chilling effect on ones desire to pursue truth. The threat of being excommunicated from a group, divorced from a spouse, or cut off from those you love and care about creates an atmosphere of fear and intimidation designed to bring about compliance. If, however, the outside information is supportive of a fundamentalists point of view, you can be assured that it will be perfectly all right to use. This is like using a set of unjust weights and is an abomination in Yahweh's sight. This is also the major tactic of the 'global village' community concept.
Disagreement is inevitable between any two people. However, bigotry and narrow-mindedness is that which not only rejects a belief or premise, for we all do that to some degree because it is impossible to agree with everyone, but there is a hateful bigotry which also rejects the person as well. A tale-tell sign is to see whether a label is attached to the person, i.e., liberal, conservative, atheist, religious, etc. Rejecting the person and having nothing to do with them is far different that rejecting a belief.
Accepting a person for what they are does not necessarily mean accepting their belief, but rather allowing them the freedom to chose their own beliefs. However, those who are filled with hate are often contemptuous of others beliefs, ridiculing and condemning them, seeking to control what others believe (and their resultant behavior) through their open condemnation.
Remember, while our Father hates sin..He still loves the sinner. So ought we.
It takes great strength to really care about others enough to allow them the freedom of choice..without condemning, accusing or rejecting them. (Commonly recognized mores (growing out of natural law) are not in question, i.e., the common sense regulations and laws, which govern societies).
Beware of Anger
Human anger is the carnal mind reacting to the pain of rejection or the revealing of sin. Anger does not listen and condemns others before they are completely heard. Human anger shuts off spiritual power because it is self-centered. Human anger is also power centered, in that it attempts to dominate others. Often when someone perceives that they have lost (or cannot gain) control of another person, they become angry.
One of the greatest deceptions is equating human anger with righteous indignation, and being unable to discern the real reasons we are angry, then using Yahweh's word as a pretext to cover our own anger. How can we tell the difference?
Great peace have they which love Yahweh's law..
and nothing shall offend (anger) them.
Those who become angry and demanding reveal themselves as not loving the law of YAHWEH, but are deceiving themselves. Yahweh's word should be a light to guide our way and a mirror to look into our own heart of hearts. Hopefully Yahweh's Word will guide our action according to His will and provide the following action (or reaction)..

Going to School..
Studying anything in depth is quite like going to school. There are many levels of understanding, and as we proceed through each level, from grade school through high school, our understanding grows. But there is also grad school which can range up to another 8 years of even more advanced learning. Our spiritual development grows in much the same manor. Does advanced understanding invalidate previous knowledge?
For example: Does the knowledge of quantum physics invalidate basic arithmetic? Of course not! Do all physicist always agree? No, they may agree basically, but may have varying outlooks and/or conclusions. Does that mean some are despicably dishonest while others are the virtue of honesty? Of course not. They simply see things, or explain things, a little differently.
Does a physicist need to stay in grade school and continue rehashing the basics simply because they may hold varying opinions? No, of course not. But they do consider pertinent information and reexamine their conclusions.
What should we believe? That which we have proven for ourselves. We should never simply accept what someone says because it sounds good. We should consider all pertinent information and reexamine our conclusions, making such corrections as proven necessary.
There are many assemblies of Yahweh (in Messiah) which maintain a core belief in the Sacredness/Holiness of the names of the Father and the Son, as well as other doctrines. Yet each has their own way of viewing the scriptures. Can everyone be absolutely right? Of course not! If any single assembly is absolutely right then all other assemblies, which do not agree, must of necessity be in the wrong.
Since there are varying doctrines among the assemblies, and knowing that accusing or condemning others who are also a part of Yahweh'Shua's Body is fruitless, perhaps we should do better to examine our own selves.
It is my humble opinion that Yahweh'shua has given us the spirit of power in order for us to know Truth. I can only make a presentation. When exercised properly, it is the spirit, which leads to enlightenment. We each must work out our own salvation..standing before the judgement seat of Messiah.
All you need to begin is a sincere desire to uncover truth, your Bible, a concordance, and perhaps a visit to your local library to examine information in the encyclopedias and dictionaries. Above all, seek the truth through humble prayer.
Remember, there is no one to impress except the two who count - our Heavenly Father, and our Savior.

How to use your concordance:
There are several sections in your concordance: The Main Concordance, The Hebrew Dictionary, & The Greek Dictionary.
The Main Concordance:
Nearly every word in your KJV is listed in alphabetical order, with the Book-Chapter-Verse of every occurrence. This is highly valuable for determining the context of the word as used in English. But we don’t stop there.
To the right of each verse is a number. Plain print indicates that it is in the Hebrew Dictionary. Italicized print indicates that it is in the Greek Dictionary.
Why the Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries are important.
Of primary importance is the original word and the various ways it is rendered in our English translation. You will see that a basic concept is given, and its root or source, followed by offshoots relating to that concept, and finally, all the various English words used in the translation.
You will discover that unlike our English usage, both the Hebrew and Greek may express a broader concept than what we may see in English. An original Hebrew or Greek word may be translated several, or even many different ways. This may be a bit confusing at first, but in time you will begin to get comfortable with dealing with broader concepts. Keep in mind that the broader concept is the unifying thread through the renderings.
The key is to understand the broader concept of the word and to place it into an overall context within the scriptures. It is much like dumping a thousand piece puzzle and beginning to sort through the pile seeking to link the pieces that match the different colors, shading, and shapes; finally, a clearer picture begins to emerge.
You will also find that an English rendition may spring from several different Hebrew or Greek original words. This can have a significant impact on your understanding, particularly if there are divergent original meanings. This would indicate that what may appear to be a common English word, which you think you understand, could possess an entirely different concept.
While it may seem like a lot of unnecessary work, the benefits of learning in this manor cannot be under estimated. This is crucial to building a solid foundation for your personal relationship with the Holy Father! It is invaluable!
In most cases, a subject may be started with a key word.

How should we determine what this actually means?
First, we need to find the Hebrew word. In the main concordance we find that in this verse 'pertaineth' is #3627. Next we go to the Hebrew/Chaldee Dictionary and find #3627.

Immediately we discover that 'kelee' is used many different ways. How can we determine what the overall usage should be? - Count! By counting the number of times of each translation we may be able to determine the overall disposition of the meaning.
We now go back to the Main Concordance and look up the English word and count the number of times the same number (3627) appears in the right hand column. Given is the actual count followed by the total number of times the English word appears. For example 'kelee' is translated 'armour' ten out of the nineteen times 'armour' is used.

Note that those marked with an asterisk probably all pertain to metallic objects. Also, that armour, armourbearer, artilery, furniture, instrument, vessel, and weapon(s) have the highest correlation of overall usage to the translation of that word.

What may we deduce from this? That 'that which pertaineth to a man' is usually metallic, probably relating to shields, weapons or armor. We now see that the scripture is not necessarily referring to an article of clothing, but is primarily armaments or other military equipment.
